Your patience and selectiveness have paid off. This rare home looks and feels even better in person than the AI-enhanced listing photos that so often disappoint. It is hard to know where to begin describing this gem, but two words stand out: “options” and “utility.” Whatever your family needs, this “Retreat” offers the flexibility to become your long-term address of distinction. Do not miss the full second kitchen on the lower level. This impressive space could function as its own apartment, complete with a second laundry area in the closet. It is ideal for extended family members, kids who need their own space, or classic entertaining.

This home was constructed with premium materials and components designed to reduce costly maintenance and repairs for years to come, aside from routine upkeep. One example is the casement windows, which feature Marvin’s highly dependable and durable Ultrex series.

A standout feature on the lowest level is the hard-to-find 9-foot ceiling height. Paired with generous south- and west-facing windows, this design brings in abundant natural light and makes the space feel open, comfortable, and highly usable.

Your neighbor on the right [north], is the 140-acre Kingswood Park, which is managed by the Three Rivers Park District. [See more info in photo captions]

A Description of Little Long Lake and Kingswood Park from a Metropolitan Council bulletin:

Simplicity and serenity on the shores of county’s cleanest lake:

It’s a great place to visit for hiking and fishing. And because it is mostly undeveloped, it also is serene and uncrowded, said Tom Knisely of Three Rivers Park District.

“Thanks to the glacial terrain limiting runoff into the lake, Little Long Lake is Hennepin County’s cleanest body of water. The lake’s deep, well-oxygenated water is home to trout, a rarity in the Twin Cities, as well as panfish and northern pike,” he said.

“The park is also home to a large stand of the original ‘big woods’ forest comprised mostly of old growth sugar maple and basswood. It’s pretty cool to experience.”

273 Turnberry Court — A Signature Architectural Estate in Troy Burne Golf Village
Recognized as one of the signature homes of Troy Burne Golf Village and the golf community, 273 Turnberry Court is an extraordinary architectural property distinguished by dramatic horizontal rooflines, deep overhangs, and Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired architecture. Set on nearly 5 acres—the largest homesite in the development, this remarkable property is being offered by the owner of Troy Burne Golf Course. Extraordinary craftsmanship, massively solid construction, distinctive architectural elements, and a remarkable natural setting combine to create a property unlike any other in the development. The setting offers an exceptional combination of 360-degree privacy and immediate proximity to the golf course, with the property line approximately 30 feet from the 15th tee boxes and 75–80 feet from the 14th green and fairway.
The property also has a fascinating history. This was the original owner's property encompassing the land that ultimately became Troy Burne Golf Village, and the home is currently owned by the owner of Troy Burne Golf Course. A new private asphalt driveway, approximately 725 feet in length, was recently installed, winding through the woods and creating a dramatic approach to the residence. In July 2026, nearly $115,000 of new mechanical-room equipment and geothermal-system improvements were installed. A new bathroom was also designed and completed in the lower level within the past two years.
The scale and quality of construction are immediately apparent. This is a massively built home reminiscent of an era when craftsmanship, substantial materials, and pride in the building trades mattered. Oversized, heavy solid-core doors, large structural beams, distinctive angled doorways leading to multiple upper-level decks, and extraordinary architectural details are found throughout. One entire wall follows an unusual, angled design and is finished with rich redwood tongue-and-groove boards, creating a warm and dramatic architectural statement.
With more than 5,200 finished square feet, the home offers 3 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, with generous spaces designed around the architecture rather than conventional floor plans. The upper-level hallway and mezzanine overlook the living room, kitchen, and portions of the dining room, creating an open and dramatic sense of volume. Numerous windows and 9 sliding glass doors bring abundant natural light into the home while providing access to multiple decks, patios, and the surrounding wooded landscape. The walk-out lower level expands the living and entertaining possibilities.
The garage and workshop are equally exceptional. The oversized 3-car garage, measuring approximately 25' x 38', features epoxy flooring and an unusual 5 overhead garage doors, providing remarkable flexibility for vehicles, recreational equipment, hobbies, and storage. The garage connects directly to a large 26' x 38' workshop with an oversized overhead door (10' 3 high) that can accommodate an RV. The workshop also offers ample space for multiple additional vehicles, equipment, or an expansive work area.
273 Turnberry Court is far more than a residence—it is an architectural statement, a substantial private estate, and a property with a history, scale, and setting rarely found in the St. Croix Valley. For the visionary buyer who desires more than the cookie-cutter home and is seeking privacy, acreage, golf course access, extraordinary craftsmanship, creative architecture, and an unparalleled relationship with Troy Burne Golf Village, this is a truly exceptional offering. See supplement for additional details and photos for the floor plan.
